Student Engagement

Learn about opportunities for hands-on learning both within and outside Dartmouth campus

External Collaborations

External collaborations include case studies, grid research, and energy-related policy studies for local, state, and federal level interests. These initiatives introduce students to the variety of disciplines they will engage with in the energy realm. Project-driven learning also allows students to explore and deliver concrete examples of energy-related work.

Applied Learning on Campus

From tours of Dartmouth’s energy system, to delving into the data of energy use on campus, these projects encourage us to what we’ve learned in the classroom to tackle real challenges at Dartmouth and in the broader Upper Valley. Students gain hands-on experience, collaborating across a variety of campus organizations and academic disciplines.

Professional Development & Alumni Relations

The DEA helps to facilitate contact with a wide range of alumni in the energy industry, from recent grads to seasoned CEOs. Together with the Irving Institute and the Sustainability Office, relationships have been nurtured to connect campus with the broader Dartmouth community. We put an emphasis on developing soft skills as much as the hard skills in order for our members to excel.
